Within the framework of the Agnes Pockels Junior Fellowship Programme, the TU Braunschweig supports particularly promising young scientists for three years. Funding is provided to individuals from outside the university who have gained independent third-party-funded junior research groups in highly competitive programs.
Successful applicants receive up to 40,000 euros per year for additional personnel and material costs.
The primary goal is to attract highly qualified and highly motivated young scientists to TU Braunschweig in order to offer you an environment here that will enhance your scientific career and international visibility through an excellent infrastructure, opportunities for cooperation with local scientific institutions and the possibility to freely develop your research.
Applications must be submitted jointly by the candidate and their mentor. Only professors of the TU Braunschweig with relevant research experience can be considered as mentors. Support in the Fellowship Program is limited to a maximum of 3 years and cannot be extended.
The selection process has two stages. In the first step, applications are evaluated through a formal process determined by the members of the DFG network at TU Braunschweig. External reviews are only included if necessary. In the second step, the best candidates are invited to Braunschweig for an interview with the DFG network.
Only applications submitted electronically will be accepted. Please send the documents as one pdf file to Research Services and European Office with the keyword "Application Agnes-Pockels-Fellowship".
