Corona Virus Update

General information

for all TU members

for students and lecturers

As of 02 February 2023, all Corona protection measures at TU Braunschweig will no longer apply. This means that all courses, events, and activities on campus can be planned and conducted without restrictions due to the pandemic.

The discontinuation of Corona protection measures is due to the abolition of the SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance (German: SARS-CoV-2 Arbeitsschutzverordnung) and the expiry of the Lower Saxony Quarantine Ordinance (German: Niedersächsische Absonderungsverordnung). This also ends the obligation to self-isolate in the event of contracting COVID-19, resulting in greater personal responsibility for everyone to protect persons at risk.

The Executive Board of our university asks all persons with typical symptoms of infectious respiratory diseases (cough, cold, hoarseness, sore throat) to wear an FFP2 mask indoors for reasons of circumspection. Especially in densely populated lecture halls, further infections can be avoided in this way.

Persons who have contracted COVID-19 should continue to stay at home and not enter the TU Braunschweig buildings. If it is absolutely necessary for them to be present at TU Braunschweig, then they should wear an FFP2 mask indoors at all times to protect others.
