Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Krafczyk joined the Executive Board on 1 April 2020. He was initially responsible for all matters relating to digitalization and technology transfer. Since 1 August 2022, he has been temporarily charged to conduct the affairs of the Senior Vice President of Digitalization and Sustainability.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Krafczyk

Professor Manfred Krafczyk has been working as a professor for flow simulation and construction informatics at the Institute for Computational Modeling in Civil  Engineering at TU Braunschweig since October 2001. He heads a research group dedicated to the development and application of numerical methods for the simulation of flows on parallel hardware as well as aspects of construction informatics. The application of these methods ranges from microsystems technology and soil physics to aerodynamics and civil and environmental engineering.

Professor Krafczyk participated in several national and international scientific committees and commissions. For the design of the department of digitalization and sustainabililty, he brings a wide range of experience, including as a long-standing member of the various IT committees of the Carolo-Wilhelmina and has helped shape their transformation.
