Vocational training in a company, a dual study programme at a university of applied sciences or a bachelor's degree at a university - there are many ways to become a computer scientist.
However, with the Bachelor's programme in Computer Science at TU Braunschweig, you will not only receive training in specific areas of computer science, but also study the entire subject spectrum.
The degree offers many opportunities: you can enter the world of work directly or complete a Master's degree in Computer Science to pursue a career in research, teaching or business. A bachelor's degree from TU Braunschweig will put you on the path with the most opportunities.
In the early 1970s, we were one of the first independent computer science programmes in Germany. Since then, we have continued to develop, and we can now offer you a state-of-the-art computer science centre that brings all our institutes together under one roof. This means short distances, direct contact with your lecturers and modern facilities with well-equipped computer workstations and lecture rooms.
With us, you are more than just a number in the system. Computer science studies in Braunschweig are characterised by close supervision between students and lecturers. The Department of Computer Science offers a wide variety of sub-areas, including computer graphics, IT security, medical informatics and robotics. As we are actively shaping current trends, we introduced our own professorship for artificial intelligence in 2024.
You will need a formal university entrance qualification to apply for the programme. If you do not have the German Abitur, you can check our summary [in German only] to find out which degree programmes are available to you depending on your educational background.
