Open PhD position - PROCOMPAS

Our group is looking for a PhD candidate in Biochemistry and Protein engineering, within the DFG-funded Graduate Research Program GRK2223 "PROCOMPAS", starting October 1st, 2016. The position is funded for 3 years. Details

Deadline for applications is July 17th, 2016.

The program:

PROCOMPAS is a joint Graduate Program of the Technical University of Braunschweig and the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research on the topic of protein complex assembly and dynamics. The scientific program is supported by a tailored teaching concept, soft skill courses, an active guest scientist program as well as stays abroad.

The project:
"Engineering a novel ferredoxin for efficient electron transfer to cytochrome P450"
Within this three-year PhD project, a novel cytochrome P450 redox partner system will be studied using biochemical, electrochemical and structural biology methods for its ability in complex formation with and electron transfer to different cytochrome P450 monooxygenases. The obtained data will be further supported by mutational studies.

For online application and further information regarding the PROCOMPAS program refer to the PDF and go to procompas.tu-braunschweig.de/application
