Institute of Automotive Management and Industrial Production

The Institute of Automotive Management and Industrial Production (AIP) stands for outstanding managerial competence in solving the current and future problems of the automotive industry and the development of theoretically substantiated, practically oriented concepts for design, planning and control of industrial production- and logistics systems.

By the subdivision into the Chair of Production and Logistics and the Chair of Service Management the variety of research topics is taken into account. For further information about the specific chairs, please choose the corresponding area in the figure below or in the navigation bar on the left.

Automobilwirtschaft und Industrielle Produktion

The main focusses of the Institute are the following:

  • Development and application of techno-economic modells and quantitative methods for decision support in production, logistics and environmental management
  • Research of services in the context of the automotive industry
  • Cogging of economic research with research instituts of engineering and natural sciences, companies from industry and political decision makers.

The activities of the AIP are also integrated into the NFF-research areas "The Intelligent Vehicle", "The Low-Emission Vehicle" and "Flexible Vehicle Concepts" as well as "Infrastructure, Society and Mobility Concepts".
