GTAS | Architecture after Architecture | Spatial Practice in the face of the climate emergency

[Arch Stellen, Arch Aktuelles]

We are looking for a student research assistant!

We are looking for a student to join the DFG / AHRC funded research project ‘Architecture after Architecture. Spatial Practice in the face of the climate emergency’. You’d be working with a group of researchers based in Braunschweig (Tatjana Schneider), London (Jeremy Till and others) and Berlin (Christina Serifi) on setting up a database of examples of groups, initiatives, things, models, concepts, materials and plans that address questions posed by the climate emergency. We’ll be mapping these aspects globally and you will work closely with the team in Europe, but also with other international researchers.

If you would like to join us, you should be someone who loves to work in a team, is curious about a wide range of spatial practices, likes mapping and data visusalisations. Ideally you might have knowledge of GIS and other types / forms of mapping, previous experience in administering data and websites as well as some research experience, too. Very good knowledge of English is a prerequisite – knowledge of an additional language (or two) would be great.

We can offer 40 h / month and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Deadline for applications inlcuding a letter of motivation and a compact visual portfolio is Wednesday, 21st of April 2021. For further info contact  gtas(at)tu-bs.de
