Good reputation and tradition: the TU Braunschweig is the oldest technical university in Germany: the cornerstone of our modern university was already laid in the year 1745 with the Collegium Carolinum.
Interdisciplinary study – interdisciplinary courses of study: The TU is precursor in this field. The first interdisciplinary courses of study have already been introduced here in the 1980s. Today, approximately every third student is enrolled in one of the interdisciplinary courses of study. The look beyond one's own course of study is obligatory for all.
Thinking and research in networks and projects: interdisciplinary research centers and competence networks in the key technologies promote scientific performances.
Research live and very close: the Technische Universität Braunschweig is linchpin in the »city of research«; more than twenty research institutes on site provide excellent possibilities for scientists and students.

We do not only offer an excellent support relation but also outstandingly qualified teachers, instructors and lecturers – not without purpose is the center of competence for university didactics of Lower Saxony located here.

From early work out to nightlife: over 80 sports are offered and more than twenty theaters, music or dancing groups can be joined or enjoyed.
