The following four lecture series, each of about 5x45 minutes, will be given:
David Applebaum (Sheffield): Introduction to Lévy processes. abstract.pdf
Claudia Klüppelberg (Munich): Risk modelling with jump processes. abstract.pdf
Szymon Peszat (Warsaw): Stochastic differential equations with Lévy noise. abstract.pdf

A detailed program can be found here.
The list of participants can be found here.
Registration and fee for the summer school:
The fee for the summer school is 50 € if paid until June 15, 2010. Payment after June 15, or payment at the registration desk, will incur a 50 % surcharge on the fees.
Please register for the summer school using the website of the Lévy conference, where you can register for both the conference and the summer school simultaneously, or alternatively only for the summer school.
Payment details will be provided along with your registration confirmation.
Accomodation:
Participants are asked to book their accomodation themselves. However, we have made some bulk reservations with special conference prices at Frühlingshotel, which is in the city center and about 25 minutes on foot from the conference site, and with BS-Hotel, which is of youth hostel type and also in walking distance from the conference site (approx. 1.2 km). Further details on the special conference prices and how to book these accomodations will be given along with the registration confirmation.
Location:
The summer school will take place at the Campus of the Technische Universität Braunschweig, in Pockelsstraße 4. More detailed information can be found here.
Talks and Posters:
All participants will have the possibility to present a poster or a short talk at the summer school. If you are intending to give a talk or present a poster, please do not insert this on the conference registration website, which is for talks and posters at the conference in Dresden only. Instead write an email to
levy2010@tu-dresden.de
with the title and abstract of your intended talk/poster for the summer school, after having registered for the summer school.
NSF Travel Support for U.S. Participants:
The National Science Foundation has provided funding for partial support of the U.S. participants. Preference for financial support will be given to graduate students, postdocs, junior faculty, women and minorities.
To apply for a financial support, please send an email with a short CV to Jan Rosinski rosinski@math.utk.edu by June 30, 2010. Graduate students will need to ask their advisor to send a short letter of reference by email as well.
Transport from Braunschweig to Dresden:
A bus transfer from Braunschweig to Dresden on July 25 will be arranged for a small fee for participants attending both meetings.
