TU Braunschweig offers in-depth, comprehensive medical informatics programs on the Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. level. On the Bachelor and Master level medical informatics courses are part of the university’s computer science program. Ph.D. studies are research oriented and lead to either a Dr.rer.nat. or a Dr.-Ing. degree.
In-depth studies of medical informatics lead to a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science with specialization in medical informatics. In-depth means that within the 3 years B.Sc. computer science program 50 out of 180 credits are chosen from medical informatics courses, including Bachelor thesis.
Computer science graduates, having specialized in medical informatics, receive at TU Braunschweig a B.Sc. degree in computer science and in medical informatics.
